This position is responsible for leading efforts to develop new assays for clinical diagnostics, as well as improving existing platforms. The Scientist develops reagents and kits utilized for flow-cytometer, immunohistochemistry, in situhybridization, microplate cytometry, nucleic acid amplification and detection that can be used as readouts for diagnostics. This position will be responsible for developing assay kits suitable for clinical samples (i.e. Blood or tissues), as well as established cell lines, with the overall goal of providing richer readouts of biological activity than traditional assays performed for compound screening or clinical diagnostics. The Scientist will be part of a team of scientists dedicated to creating kits relevant to pathway, mechanism, and predictive knowledge for target discovery and validation or for clinical diagnostics.
Specific Duties:
- Develop, optimize, and implement flow-cytometer, ELISA and/or immunohistochemistry assays.
- Create, develop, and optimize new reagents and kits relating to clinical diagnostics and functional proteomics and genomics.
- Solve complex research, development, and sustaining challenges.
