Speakers

Perry Woo, JD, PhD, Intellectual Property Associate, Hoffmann & Baron, LLP

Perry is currently an Intellectual Property Associate at Hoffmann & Baron, and working as a patent practitioner in the chemical, pharmaceutical, and biotechnological arts. Prior to joining Hoffmann & Baron, Perry received his PhD from the department of chemistry, Stony Brook University.
Before going to pursuing a PhD degree, Perry had received a JD from Touro College Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center and a master’s degree in biology from Adelphi University.

Krithika Venkataraman, PhD, Pharmaceutical Consultant, Prescient Healthcare Group

Krithika holds a PhD in Molecular and Cellular Biology from Stony Brook University and a BS in Chemistry Engineering from Shanmugha Arts, Science, Technology and Research Academy, India. Upon completion of her PhD, Krithika started her career as a consultant at Prescient Healthcare Group. During her 4 years at Prescient Healthcare Group, she accumulated abundant knowledges on the whole process of drug development and commercialization from the aspects of regulatory affairs, project management, and business development.

Dongye Zhang, PhD, Regulatory Affairs Associate, Target Health, Inc

Tony received his PhD in Biomedical Engineering from Stony Brook University, with research interests of orthopedics and biophysics, tissue engineering and regenerative medicine, and a M.Eng. in Biomedical Engineering from Cornell University, and a B.Eng. from Beijing University of Technology. Tony has just completed his PhD study earlier this year. He have been interning and working as a Healthcare Regulatory Affair Consultant at Target Health Inc. for about half a year. Target Health Inc. is a full-service CRO; it is committed to serve the pharmaceutical community with knowledge, experience, technology and connectivity. Tony focused primarily on biomedical device 510 (k) and de novo submissions. Through his PhD studies, Tony has been actively organizing Student Activities by serving as the Vice President for Global China Connection Stony Brook for 4 years. He is currently a CFA Level II candidate and engaging in multiple market research and pricing consulting cases at his spare time.

Ismail Ismailoglu, PhD, Analyst, CBPartners

Ismail is an analyst at CBPartners, a business management consulting firm in new york city. Before joining CBPartners, Ismail worked as a postdoctoral associate at Weill Cornell Medicine to study the role of sulfur oxidation pathway in colon cancer. During his postdoctoral research years, Ismail was also active as a consultant at SCIMALS, The Solution Lab, and Oystir.
Ismail holds a PhD from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas and University of Minnesota-Twin Cities, and a BS from Bilkent University, Turkey.

Ram Raghavan, MBA, MS, Senior Associate, Strategy&, part of the PwC network

Ram Raghavan is now working as senior associate in PwC’s Strategy&. He is responsible for strategy consulting in life sciences, having experience in commercial assessments, due diligence, modeling and forecasting, pricing & market access assessments; working as a team leader managing projects including developing methodology and deliverables, and handles day-to-day client relationships. In addition, he’s also good at analytics and detailed data analysis as well as overall strategy and client presentations.  Ram graduated from Stony Brook University as a Master student with double majors in biomedical engineering and electrical engineering, and after working for a few years in different fields, got his MBA from Cornell University-Johnson Graduate School of Management.
