We’re Looking for Executive Committee Members
for the 2014-2015 term!
The goal of the Alumni Network Executive Committee (ANEC) is to create a framework in which alumni can reap the benefits and opportunities that positively impact their careers and the bioscience community. The Executive Committee consists of 4-6 alumni members, as well as a representative from the Center for Biotechnology, and is responsible for the development and execution of the Alumni Network strategic initiatives.
Leading the Alumni Network as an Executive Committee member provides you with an invaluable opportunity to develop leadership experience and gain insights into the life sciences industry. In addition, your official association with the Center for Biotechnology allows for select opportunities such as the potential to attend industry-specific networking events as guests of the Center for Biotechnology.
Executive Committee Members will be responsible for the development and execution of the Alumni Network strategic initiatives. If you would like to join the ANEC or want to nominate someone to serve on the committee, please follow the nomination guidelines below.
Nomination Guidelines:
- All Alumni and current students are eligible to serve on the ANEC.
- Candidates can be self-nominated or nominated by peers.
- Candidates must submit a Statement of Interest – Why do you want to join the ANEC? Let us know with a brief statement indicating why you are the ideal candidate for the executive committee and what you hope to accomplish in your tenure. This statement will be posted on the alumni website.

Confirmation of any Executive Committee members will be a joint decision by the Review Committee consisting of the Course Directors, past ANEC members and the Center for Biotechnology.
